Esta mariscadora está cogiendo almejas aprovechandose que están dormidas para llevarse un buen montón. Cuando las pobres almejas se despiertan descubren que están con ajo, perejil, vino y aceite de freir en una sarten. ¡ Qué putada!, excepto para mis comrnsales, por supuesto.

This gatherer of clams is taking advantage they are sleeping to take away one lot of them. When the clams awake, the poor find out that they are with garlic, parsley, wine and oil frying in a pan. It's a real bugger!, except for my fellow dinners, of course.

Amanecer en la ría/Sunrise on the estuary

Voy  mostrar esta acuarela en una exposición  conjunta de pintores que viven en mi localidad.
He tratado de pintar un amanecer en una ría.

I'm going to show this watercolor at an exhibition jointly of painters living in my locality.
I tried to paint a sunrise in a estuary.

Pescadores de alta mar/ Deep sea fishermen

Esta acuarela se presentó al concurso de Iberart. Se pueden ver todas las pinturas selecionadas y los trabajos finalistas.
Cada trabajo tiene una descripción técnica sobre como se hizo. Yo lo hice húmedo sobre húmedo, empapando la parte posterior y delantera del papel excepto donde quería dejar bordes rígidos.
Mi acuarela representa los pescadores de alta mat en una tormenta.

This watercolor was presented to Iberart's contest. They can be see all paintings selected and the finalist works.
Each work has a technical desciption on how it has done. I did it wet-into-wet, soaking the back and front of paper except where I wanted to leave found edges.
My watercolor represents deep sea fishermen, in a storm.

Puerto/Harbor

Desde que estuve en el taller de acuarela no he pintado fuera todavía. Espero hacerlo los próximos días cuando vaya a Sigüenza y trate de pintar con Jaime un compañero del taller de acuarela. Si el tiempo lo permite.
Mi interés estaba en pintar el cielo. Lo hice con dos aguadas, aunque puede parecer solo una.

I haven't painted outside yet since I've been at the watercolor workshop. I hope to begin to do it next days when go to Siguenza, and I'm going to try to paint with Jaime a buddy of the workshop. If weather permitting.
I was interested in painting the sky. I did it with two washes, although it seems to be made all at once

Día de lluvia/Rainy day

Comienzo este blog con una acuarela que pinté hace tiempo cuando asistía a clases de acuarela. Estaba acostumbrado a pintar siempre en tamaños de 56x76cms. pero ahora no sería capaz de usar ese tamaño. Me estoy haciendo viejo.

Utilizo papel Arches, prensado en frío.

Si estoy empezando con esta acuarela antigua es para observar si estoy mejorando el nivel que tenía. Pero me parece que acostumbraba a pintar mejor que ahora. Al final de este año lo comprobaré.

I'm starting this blog with a watercolor that I painted it some time, when I attended classes. I was accustomed to painting on larger sheet than now, I always painted on 22"x30" size, but now I'm not able to use that size. I'm getting old. 

I utilize Arches paper, rough, cold pressed.

If  I'm beginning with this old watercolor is in order to observe whether I'm improving the level I had. But I'm afraid I used to paint better than now. At the end of this year I'll check it out.
