I painted this sunset in the sea using ultramarine blue, red quinacridone, orange and yellow.

This landscape that I've painted make me remember my youth days when I never felt tired of admiring the Ceferino Olivé's villages landscapes.

I tried to paint the Tyndall's effect, that as all people know, it's produced when the light cross throught an area with powder.
There is two ways to paint this( or posibly, a thousand more).
One is to paint first one wash with paint something staining, and then to paint over this with usual paints. Finally you can drag with a brush o paper what we want to leave with light. What we had painted before will appear slightly, thanks to the use of staining paint.
Other manner, is to paint slightly where the light is hitting. I think this is the most direct way to do that, but maybe more complicated.

I did this sketch to try negative painting.

I've been doing this portrait on paper of Fabriano Studio and I think is not too good for portraits. If you put more than two brush strokes on the same place, the paint can disappear.

I painted this watercolor using wet-into-wet, but I only put water on one side of paper, so the paper dried out too soon. I'm going to paint another, putting up the paper with water on both sides of paper and above a pane of glass . That way paper will be moist long time and I will be able to paint with soft edges.
I hope so.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05265283395524763748noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1170331991583690648.post-84006560480256932082016-11-17T08:45:00.002-08:002016-11-17T08:47:44.862-08:00Marina/ Seascape

At this sunset I've used warm and cold colors, orange and violet. When the paper was almost dry, I put over the first wash in the sky, some clouds with a violet color.
Mixing violet color with orange you obtain a muted color, it's due because violet color is carmine with blue and orange is complementary of blue.

This watercolor is a study about the three planes in a painting: background, midle ground and foreground.

This cityscape has some defects, I'm not goig to say which they are.

From a photo I've selected some forms and I've added some cars and a motorcycle.
My interes was to get the atmosphera of a rainy day. I've used ultramar, indian red, neutral tint, and yellow with white for car lights.
I can get the reflections if I first paint the street with a clear color of neutral tint, then when is completely dry I paint, wet on wet, some reflections of cars and finally when the paper is matte I draw, with a wet brush, some blanks.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05265283395524763748noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1170331991583690648.post-62215020694637859502016-09-18T01:38:00.001-07:002016-09-18T01:38:15.732-07:00Playa/Beach

This is Recoletos promenade in Madrid. At the end you can see the Columbus statue. This painting is easy to do, here are some buildings in the background, and trees at the left hand. The foreground is occupied by cars and a figure crossing the crosswalk.
So that are only four shapes. Only is necessary to put the values properly.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05265283395524763748noreply@blogger.com0
