He pintado esta acuarela usando húmedo sobre húmedo, pero solo humedecí un lado del papel, así que se secó demasiado pronto. Voy a pintar otra pero humedeciendo los dos lados del papel y poniéndolo sobre un cristal. De este modo el papel estará húmedo más tiempo y podré pintar con bordes difusos. O eso espero.

I painted this watercolor using wet-into-wet, but I only put water on one side of paper, so the paper dried out  too soon. I'm going to paint another, putting up the paper with water on both sides of paper and above a pane of glass . That way paper will be moist long time and I will be able to paint with soft edges.
I hope so.

Marina/ Seascape

En este atardecer he usado colores cálidos y frios, naranja y violeta. Cuando el papel estaba casi seco puse sobre la primera aguada en el cielo unas pinceladas de color violeta para las nubes.
La mezcla del color violeta y el naranja produce un color quebrado debido a que el violeta es carmín con azul y el naranja es complementario del azul.

At this sunset I've used warm and cold colors, orange and violet. When the paper was almost dry, I put over the first wash in the sky, some clouds with a violet color.
Mixing violet color with orange you obtain a muted color, it's due because violet color is carmine with blue and orange is complementary of blue.

ärbol caido/ fallen tree

Esta acuarela es un estudio de los tres planos que hay en una pintura: fondo, plano medio y primer plano. Al fondo la luz atraviesa los árboles e ilumina el borde del árbol en primer plano.

This watercolor is a study about the three planes in a painting: background, midle ground and foreground. At the background there is  light crossing through the trees and illuminating the edge of the tree at the foreground.

Banco De España

Este paisaje urbano tiene varios defectos, pero voy a decir cuales son. Puedo encontrarlos sobre algunas cosa, pero dejo al observador que los encuentre él mismo y aprenda de ellos lo mismo que yo he hecho

This cityscape has some defects, I'm not goig to say which they are. I can find them about several things, but I leave the watcher can see  by himself and learn from my mistakes such as I've done.

I forgot to post this skeetch. I sent it to Watercolor Art of Google + some days ago.

I painted it on sketch paper only to choose colors later.

Dia de lluvia/Rainy day

A partir de una foto he seleccionado algunas formas y añadí algunos coches y un motorista. He tratado de conseguir el ambiente de un día lluvioso. Utilicé azul ultramar, rojo indio, tinta neutra y amarillo con blanco para las luces de los coches.
Los reflejos los he conseguido primero pintando la calle con un color claro, dejándolo secar completamente y después húmedo sobre húmedo he pintado los reflejos de los coches, después con un pincel húmedo, cuando el papel estaba mate, saque unos blancos.

From a photo I've selected some forms and I've added some cars and a motorcycle.
My interes was to get the atmosphera of a rainy day. I've used ultramar, indian red, neutral tint, and yellow with white for car lights.
I can get the reflections if I first paint the street with a clear color of neutral tint, then when is completely dry I paint, wet on wet, some  reflections of cars and finally when the paper is matte I draw, with a wet brush, some blanks.
