Retratos y algunas reflexiones/Portraits and some thoughts

Estos son algunos de mis colegas de la Facultad de Físicas que hice en acuarela, pero llevo haciendo desde hace tiempo cerca de 60 retratos en carboncillo y seguiré haciendo algunos más.
Como dije en en mi último post, voy a tratar de alcanzar mis objetivos anuales y para ello voy a revisar todas las notas, observaciones, videos,etc, y ver como los artistas hacen sus obras, no solo en acuarela si no también en óleo. Tengo que asistir a varias exposiciones importantes , una de ellas en el museo Sorolla sobre trajes regionel y de paso aprovecharé para dar un repaso otra vez a sus pinturas. Otra exposicion será en el museo Thysen sobre Cezanne.
Asi que me voy a tomar un respiro e ntentar  asimilar toda esta información y transferirla a unas notas compiladas tan completamente como sea posible.
Espero que no me lleve mucho tiempo.

These are some of my colleagues of Faculty I did in watercolor, but I've been drawing  about 60 portraits in charcoal and I'll keep drawing some more.
As I said in my last post, I'm going to try reaching my targets and to do that I'll review all my notes, observations, videos and see how artists done their works, not only in watercolor but also in oil. I have to attend several important expositions, one of them at Sorolla Museum about regional dresses, and furthermore I'll have the opportunity to review your work again. Other of Cezanne at Thysen Museum on February.
So, I'm going to take a break to digest all that information, transferring it to a notes compiled as completely as possible.
I hope it don't take me too long.

Temporal en la Costa de la Muerte/ Storm on Costa de la Muerte

El comienzo de un nuevo significa nuevas metas. Igual que todos los añosmis nuevos objetivos son los mismos del año anterior, pero con algún otro tan importante como lo fueron los anteriores.
De modo que pueden correr la misma suerte . O tal vez no.

Starting a new year means new targets. As every year my new objectives are the same of last year, but with some other as important as were the oldest.
So that they could suffer the same fate. Or maybe not.

Paisaje/ Landscape

Estoy deseando que llegue el invierno para poner paisajes nevados. Este no lo es. Es un paisaje otoñal, Espero que se note.

I'm looking forward to the winter to show snowy landscapes. This is not. It is a fall landscape. I hope you can notice it.

Paisaje/Landscape

Esta acuarela comencé a pintar en Sigüenza cunado estabamos Jaime, Blanca y Patricia, pero no pude terminarla y casi un mes después lo he hecho. Me siento algo inquieto porque me gusta.

I began to paint this watercolor at Sigüenza, when I was painting with Jaime, Blanca and Patricia, but could finished and almost a month later I've done it. I feel a bit disquiet, because I like it.

Paisaje/Landscape

Llevo dibujando retratos desde mi último post ya que mis objetivos de este año eran pintar retratos y paisajes urbanos. Los retratos, en mi inmodesta opinión, son bastante buenos para ser de un aficionado, pero tengo que reconocer que necesito aprender a dibujar mejor. 200 dibujos es la cifra mágica para obtener resultados aceptables, de modo que me llevara unos cinco meses. Estoy en ello.


Este paisaje resulta un tanto extraño. He tratado de pintar el efecto Tyndall, pero es dificil conseguir un resultado pasable. Muchos pintores lo han estado utilizando desde hace años. Se puede ver en algunas acuarelas  de mi pintor favorito Zbukvic. También estoy en ello.

I've been drawing portraits since my last post because my objectives for this year were to paint portraits and cityscapes. My portraits, in my immodest review, are enough good for an amateur, but I have to recognize I need drawing better. The magic figure necessary to get an acceptable result is 200 drawings so that I'll need about five months. Working on it.
This is a landscape a bit uncanny. I have tryed painting the Tyndall's effect, but is difficult if you want to do it accurately. Many painters have been using for many years. You can see it in some watercolors of Zbukvic, one of my favorite painters. Also I'm on it.

Al ver el blog de Toñi, me acordé que a mi tambien me habían aceptado esta acuarela, al igual que otros compañeros Zorrilla y Espiga de la Asociación de Acuarelistas de Guadalajara, Aguada.
Como no tengo nada para poner aprovecho y pongo esta que se basa en un boceto previo ya publicado.

After seeing the blog of Toñi, I remembered  that the Benalmadena contest  also accepted my watercolor like other mates, Zorrilla y Espiga of  Aguada's association.
Like I don't have any watercolor for posting, I take advantage to show this based in a sketch already published.
