Los colores en el original estaban mejor que esta imagen. Hice varias pruebas , pero no conseguí mejorarlo. Los árboles en el fondo tienes los valores más altos que en la realidad.
Comencé con solo tres colores:sombra natural, azul ultramar y siena tostada, después añadí rojo pirrol. El resultado de todos estos colores ha sido un poco asqueroso.
La próxima vez será mejor.

Colors in the original are better than in is this picture. I did several tests, but it didn't improved. The trees on the background have tonal values more highs than in the reality.
I began with only three colors: raw umber, ultramar blue and burnt sienna and then I added pyrrole red. The result of all colors have been a bit disgusting.
Next time will be better.

Paisaje con cabañas/ Landscape with two log cabins

En este paisaje he tratado  de pintar los tres planos, fondo, medio y primer plano. El primer plano es el más dificil, si se pintan demasiadas cosas el centro de interés se se distrae. Yo opté por poner alguna sombra y hierba.
Voy a seguir haciendo paisajes que tengan lejanías con diferentes ambientes porque no es fácil conseguir la sensación de profundidad.

I've treated in this landscape to paint the three landscape planes, background, middleground and foreground. The foreground is the most difficult if you paint too many things  the interest point is distracted. I choosed some shadows and grass.
I'll keep painting landscapes with remoteness in different atmospheres because is not easy to obtain the sense of deep.

Estoy deseando que llegue el invierno para poner paisajes nevados. Este no lo es. Es un paisaje otoñal, Espero que se note.

I'm looking forward to the winter to show snowy landscapes. This is not. It is a fall landscape. I hope you can notice it.

Esta acuarela comencé a pintar en Sigüenza cunado estabamos Jaime, Blanca y Patricia, pero no pude terminarla y casi un mes después lo he hecho. Me siento algo inquieto porque me gusta.

I began to paint this watercolor at Sigüenza, when I was painting with Jaime, Blanca and Patricia, but could finished and almost a month later I've done it. I feel a bit disquiet, because I like it.

Llevo dibujando retratos desde mi último post ya que mis objetivos de este año eran pintar retratos y paisajes urbanos. Los retratos, en mi inmodesta opinión, son bastante buenos para ser de un aficionado, pero tengo que reconocer que necesito aprender a dibujar mejor. 200 dibujos es la cifra mágica para obtener resultados aceptables, de modo que me llevara unos cinco meses. Estoy en ello.


Este paisaje resulta un tanto extraño. He tratado de pintar el efecto Tyndall, pero es dificil conseguir un resultado pasable. Muchos pintores lo han estado utilizando desde hace años. Se puede ver en algunas acuarelas  de mi pintor favorito Zbukvic. También estoy en ello.

I've been drawing portraits since my last post because my objectives for this year were to paint portraits and cityscapes. My portraits, in my immodest review, are enough good for an amateur, but I have to recognize I need drawing better. The magic figure necessary to get an acceptable result is 200 drawings so that I'll need about five months. Working on it.
This is a landscape a bit uncanny. I have tryed painting the Tyndall's effect, but is difficult if you want to do it accurately. Many painters have been using for many years. You can see it in some watercolors of Zbukvic, one of my favorite painters. Also I'm on it.

Pelegrina y su castillo/ Pelegrina and its castle

Cuando el año pasado asistí al taller de Zorrilla, todos los participantes fuimos a Pelegrina para tratar de pintarlo, pero el tiempo era tan caluroso que sólo comimos, la pura verdad un poco caro, pero nos lo pasamos muy bien, riendo y hablando de todo, lo cual es la mejor manera de pasar el tiempo en los talleres, bueno, y también pintando, aunque no siempre muy bien, pero para eso están los talleres.
Como me quedé con ganas de pintarlo, he hecho este paisaje de Pelegrina, recordando los buenos amigos del taller.

When last year I attended  the Zorrilla's workshop,  all participants went to Pelegrina to try paint it, but the weather  was so hot that we only ate, the plain truth a bit expensive but we had a good time, laughing and talking about everything, which is the best way to spend the time at the workshops, well, and also painting even though always not too well, but for that there are the workshops.
As I remained with desire to paint it, I've done this landscape of Pelegrina, remembering to the good friends of workshop.

Segadores/ Reapers

Mientras que planeo hacer la siguiente acuarela sobre un paisaje urbano, he pintado esta sencilla escena que representa a unos segadores aventando el trigo o algo parecido.

While I plan to do my next watercolor about a cityscape, I painted this simple scene representing some  reapers that are winnowing wheat, or something like that

 Pinté esta acuarela húmedo sobre húmedo y utilizando tres colores: azul ultramar, siena tostada y siena natural, que substituyen a los tres primarios, azul, rojo y amarillo.

This watercolor was painted wet into wet and using three colors: ultramarine blue, burnt sienna and raw sienna. substituting the three primary colors, blue, red and yellow.

Taller en Caminha/ Workshop in Caminha

He vuelto de Caminha depués de asistir  al taller de acuarelas de Francisco Castro. Ahora estoy en Galicia hasta el fin de semana de modo que volveré a Madrid la próxima semana.
Había 17 colegas, algunos de ellos grandes pintores, tan buenos como Diego F. Colume y Guille Fernández además de otros. Jaime y Blanca también fueron, eran amigos de otros talleres. Todo el mundo pintó, nos reimos y lo mejor de todo, aprendimos un montón.
Mi esposa me dijo que nunca me había visto pintar tan mal y lo peor de todo es que era verdad.
Aquí está una de mis pinturas, verdaderamente es la única que puede mostrarse sin que se destruya mi reputación. Es broma, tios

I got back from Caminha after attending at Francisco Castro workshop. Now I am in Galicia until the weekend so that I'll go back to Madrid for the next week.
There were 17 collegues some of them great painters as good as Diego F. Colume and Guille Fernández in addition to others. Jaime and Blanca  also were, they were friends from other workshops. Everybody painted, we laughed, and the best of all, we also learned a lot.
My wife told me that ever had seen me to paint so bad and the worst is that it was true.
Here is one of my paintings, really it's the only which can be displayed without being destroyed my reputation. It's a joke, guys
